Okay okay okay… I am squealing just typing this!!

My cousin Matison is getting married this August!! + back in June 2024, I had the absolute honor of photographing her engagement + family session here in Austin.



Let me just say this: I don’t think there’s anyone more deserving of a fairytale than Matty. She’s one of the kindest, most genuine humans you’ll ever meet + watching her step into this next chapter with Dylan is something special.

McKinney Falls Magic

(Minus the Falls)

We chose McKinney Falls State Park for its dreamy textures! The golden trails, the water, the wild Texas charm. The plan? Get there early, shoot by the falls, soak it all in.

The reality?


It was hot, late-June hot. We rolled in around 10 a.m., which FYI, at McKinney Falls, means the party (and the crowds) have already started. 😅 The falls were packed, so we pivoted! + honestly? I’m so glad we did.

Because what we found instead was this gorgeous, cactus-covered nook that gave romantic desert vibes and made for the perfect backdrop. Sometimes plan B is the one you never knew you needed.

Here’s a fun little secret from this session: I had just found out I was pregnant with Beau. I was about 8 weeks along, queasy, and definitely not spilling the beans yet…

…except to Matty. 😭💛



She was one of the very first people I told, right there in the middle of our shoot. There’s just something about sharing news like that with someone who’s been through so many life seasons with you.

These two are tying the knot this summer,
